Heliskiing in short or helicopter skiing is the action of skiing down a mountain after being taken up by a helicopter. Then repeat, again, again … until it is time to go back to the lodge for a beer!
You need to be a strong intermediate to advance skier for most heliski base. Some heliski operators cater for advanced to expert skiers. Make sure You check with your choosen operator. You need to be able to ski in variable snow conditions and be fit enough to ski for a few consecutive days.
