Powder South

Powder South was founded in 2002 by a pair of noted ski and mountaineering entrepreneurs and guides: Rodrigo Mujica and Joaquin Oyarzun. They have dedicated their lives to mountain life and to excellence in mountain guiding and adventure travel.

Powder South operates in the Chilean Andes (July – August), Argentinian Andes (July to September) and also in Patagonia (September – October). They can also charter yacht heliskiing in Patagonia, Antartica and Greenland if you have super deep pockets !

Powder South packages resemble a lot the packages you find offered by Canada operators: Lodging in a 5 star lodge, fine cuisine, powder skis and safety equipment provided …

In Chile, they operate from a few luxury lodges in various valleys: Maipo, Cipreses, Cortaderal and Cachapoal valleys. It is also possible to be based in Santiago in some of the city 5 stars hotels to heliski the central Andes. It is also possible to do a combo package in two lodges or Santiago and a lodge. 3 and 6 days packages are available.

In Argentina, where they expanded after Chile, they operate from the Uco Valley, where you will stay in the beautiful Vines and Resort Spa surrounded by 1,500 acres of wineyards. 3 and 6 days heliskiing private or semi private packages are offered.

In Patagonia, The Barraco lodge offers guests an authentic experience in Chile’s far south
